BIM Software Certification

The founders at Digital Alchemy were considered pioneers in the evolution of Computer Aided Design(CAD) into Building Information Modeling(BIM). We are also globally recognized as experts in industry standards for BIM and the use of computers in the building industry – especially IFC. Over the last 10 years, we have had the privilege to lead ground breaking projects that introduced the notion of standard information exchanges using IFC – called IFC Model View Definitions (or MVDs). Since 2005, we have administered two projects for the US General Services Administration (GSA) to test and certify software applications for correct support of two MVDs that are used in GSA projects. This certification ensures that the BIMs delivered to GSA can be analyzed by GSA in various ways. This, in turn, helps GSA to delivery buildings that better meet tenant requirements, are more cost effective, and realize better energy efficiency.
